I would like to close the discussion to the tuck position, which is not so subject to limitations related to the physical strength of the young gymnasts, although the heart of the matter also applies to the pike and straight positions. I have no doubt that at an early stage the learning of the 3/4 front and back are of a technical requirement far superior to the complete somersault (if we want a correct learning and with adequate vision of the bed), which can take longer to acquisition of mortals (if we opt for the 3/4 first).
